ABSTRACT
This study analyzed the evolving economy and political relations between China and Nigeria. The purpose of this study is to investigate China's financial and trade implications on Nigeria's economy in terms of China's existing global role, as well as the possibilities that both countries have deduced from their trade links, and to examine the transformation of the two countries' trading arrangements and regulations, with a special concentrate on the essential industries of their imports and exports. Qualitative approach was adopted for this study qualitative statistics collection techniques are extremely flexible. However, secondary sources were used for this study, while the researcher gathered data from archive materials, publications or scholarly works, the internet, authorized papers of international organizations, journals, press releases, newspapers, and other secondary sources. Descriptive and interpretative data analysis approaches was adopted, while the official institution website, such as the national statistics databases of Nigeria and other African nations, the WTO database, and the World Bank database also represents the data source for this study. It has been revealed that an essential part of the Chinese and Nigerian connection is the exchange of adequate information about both countries' growth possibilities and how to make use of those opportunities through conferences and other discussion venues, such as lectures and roundtables. According to the findings of the study, Nigeria and China appear to share similar characteristics, such as conventional aspects and trade, and they have a mutually beneficial alliance. The study proved that both nations have immense demographic characteristics, with many Nigerians living in China and conversely, both government agencies have an internationally south-south correlation that notifies their viewpoint on international affairs. It is however recommended that the leadership of Nigeria needs show that it has the democratic will to handle Nigeria's heterogeneity in order to achieve peace, security, and enduring economic development.
