ABSTRACT
This study examines the considerable impact of digitalization on Nigeria’s broadcast media sector. By conducting qualitative research, it delves into the views of media professionals on the effects of digitalization on content consumption, organizational strategies, production processes, cultural representation, and regulatory trends. This study reveals the benefits of digital platforms, including their convenience and accessibility, and how they are changing the way media professionals work. It highlights the growing importance of social media integration as a means of fostering engagement and collaboration within the industry. The study not only sheds light on the transformative potential of digital technologies but also indicates the need for vigilant media regulations to address challenges related to content originality and misinformation dissemination. To overcome these challenges, this study provides practical recommendations such as optimizing content, making data-driven decisions, adapting to evolving regulations, and fostering direct industry interaction.
