The study will investigate, the impact of globalization on the fight against terrorism, with a particular emphasis on the instance of Boko Haram in Nigeria. The research will explore cyber activism and socio-economic and historical elements that helped Boko Haram become a well-known terrorist group. The rise of contemporary communication technologies and cross-border connections has impacted the development and growth of Boko Haram's network which the study aims to investigate in depth. The threat presented by terrorism to international harmony, societal stability, and national security has been a major worry in recent decades. As the world grows more interconnected through globalization, the impact of this phenomenon has beyond national lines, making it imperative to examine the various causes of terrorism. This thesis seeks to examine the impact of globalization on counterterrorism efforts, with a focus on Boko Haram in Nigeria. The study assesses the methods used by domestic and foreign players to combat Boko Haram and lessen the impact of globalization on terrorism. The research aims to evaluate the efficiency of various counterterrorism initiatives and the consequences for forming future policy. In order to improve global counterterrorism operations in situations similarly impacted by the interaction of terrorism and globalization, this project will examine the Nigerian context. The research will use qualitative approach and will rely on secondary existing data.
