| Özet notu | ABSTRACT<br/>It has become increasingly common for manufacturers or producers to use new <br/>technology and techniques, together with effective supply chain management, to gain <br/>a long-term competitive advantage. Technology, innovation, and globalization have <br/>all increased the level of competitiveness for firms in recent years. Small and medium sized enterprises (SMEs) should be examined and analysed on a country-by-country <br/>basis to identify the differences and similarities in their green manufacturing strategies.<br/>The study examined the impact of adopting green technology on the environmental <br/>performance of manufacturing companies in the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus. <br/>The objective was to explore the effect of internal and external motivation on the <br/>environmental performance of manufacturing companies in the Turkish Republic of <br/>Northern Cyprus. The study used questionnaires to collect data from 65 manufacturing <br/>companies in the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus.<br/>The study found a positive relationship between environmental performance and the <br/>internal motivation for using green technology, the external motivation for using green <br/>technology, the education level, the number of employees at the companies, and the <br/>work experience of the workers. The study also found that the educational attainment <br/>of workers and employees' working experience are statistically significant, but internal <br/>motivation and the number of employees is not statistically significant good for the <br/>environment because it would reduce the negative effects of human activities.<br/>The study would help manufacturing companies in the Turkish Republic of Northern <br/>Cyprus to adopt green technology since it helps to minimize the negative impact of <br/>human activities on the environment. <br/>Keywords: Awareness, Environmental Impact, Green Technology, Manufacturing <br/>Companies, Northern Cyprus |
