ABSTRACT<br/>Wheat plays a crucial part in providing food and nutritional security, but rapidly <br/>increasing soil and water salinity pose a severe danger to its production throughout the <br/>world. Salinity has a direct impact on soil productivity and limits global yield potential. <br/>It also has a deleterious impact on wheat growth and development, resulting in lower <br/>grain production and quality. Wheat plants use a variety of physiological, biochemical, <br/>and molecular mechanisms to adapt to salt stress at the cell, tissue, and whole plant <br/>levels to optimize growth and yield while mitigating the harmful impacts of the saline <br/>environment. To examine the effect of different salinity stress, an experiment was <br/>carried out at Institute of Graduate Studies and Research department of Plant sciences <br/>and technologies, Cyprus International University. In present experiment, wheat <br/>varieties i.e., V1, V2, V3 was tested under EC control, 7.5 dSm-1<br/>, 10 dSm-1<br/>, and 12 dS <br/>m-1<br/>following Completely Randomized Design (CRD) with factorial arrangement. The <br/>findings revealed that as saline levels increased, wheat growth and yield characteristics <br/>decreased dramatically. Among V1, V2, and V3 highest reduction in plant height, <br/>SFW, SDW, RFW, RDW, number of tillers, spike length and grain yield were noted <br/>in V3 when treated with 12 dSm-1<br/>.
