| Özet notu | ABSTRACT<br/>Playing violent video games could be fun for and among children but it also has <br/>negative implications when they play for long. These negative impacts are <br/>sometimes translated into violent behaviours that could be very devastating. The <br/>study is divided into four parts and these parts discuss the issue of violent video <br/>games on minors in Nigeria. The introductory part discusses the historical <br/>developments of video games and the contemporary nature of violent video games. <br/>The first chapter discusses various literature related to the restriction of video games <br/>and how these restrictions affect the behaviours of these minors. The study outlines <br/>the impacts that parents have on censorship and restrictions of how their children <br/>play violent video games in Nigeria. The findings of the study suggest that the <br/>strictness of rules and restrictions regarding censorship have a positive impacts on <br/>the behaviour of minors who play video games. The study also depicts the attitude of <br/>parents towards different restriction set on activities connected to violent video <br/>games.
