Özet notu | ABSTRACT<br/>The aim of this study is to examine the influence of organizational climate and <br/>organizational citizenship behavior on emotional intelligence in private hospitals. The <br/>term organizational climate can be described as an agreement regarding the behaviors <br/>of its employees. It includes efforts to achieve efficiency, a zero-defect result, a focus <br/>on the result, and employee interest, as well as creativity and accuracy in the <br/>performance of employees' responsibilities. Meanwhile, organizational citizenship <br/>behavior is described as the way people interact within the organization. And Davis, <br/>et al., (2020) viewed emotions as an intense disturbance of an individual. Another <br/>modern scholar also defines emotions as a response that is not organized resulting from <br/>a non-effective adjustment of an individual, this means emotions is seen as a cause for <br/>complete loss of brain actions. Therefore, all these three variables were examined.<br/>However, two hypotheses were developed in order to determine how organizational <br/>climate (OC) and Organizational citizenship behavior (OCB) affected emotional <br/>intelligence (EI) in private hospitals in Cameroon. <br/>The study revealed that only one of the hypotheses which is hypothesis one (H1): <br/>“There is a positive impact of organizational climate on emotional intelligence”: “was <br/>rejected while only hypothesis two (H2): ‘There is a positive impact of organizational <br/>citizenship behavior on emotional intelligence.” Was accepted.<br/>Keywords: Emotional Intelligence; Organizational citizenship behavior; <br/>Organizational climate; |
