Özet notu ABSTRACT<br/>Crisis management is one important aspect of management that has been attracting <br/>attention in recent times. Since the beginning of the 21st century, there has been the <br/>frequent occurrences of both man-made (provoke) crisis such as the Cameroon <br/>Anglophone crisis or the global financial crisis of 2008 caused by the economic <br/>down turn, and natural disasters such as the recent earthquake in Turkey or the <br/>COVID 19 epidemic. The Cameroon Anglophone crisis that began in September of <br/>2016 has destroy institutions and the social life of the two Anglophone regions of <br/>Cameroon and has indirectly influence the affairs of the entire nation of Cameroon. <br/>One of such institution that has badly been affected is the Cameroon development <br/>cooperation (CDC). The present situation of the CDC is that most of its plantations <br/>are either non-operational or partially operational because most of its laborers were <br/>force to flee as a result of the insecurity characterizing the region as a result of the <br/>frequent confrontation between the state army and the separatist movement. The <br/>purpose of this work is to investigate how to motivate the laborers of the CDC<br/>especially those of the Ekona plantations to return back to work through a careful <br/>examination of the measures or action already adopted by the management to keep <br/>the plantation operational even during the Anglophone crisis. To this effect, the <br/>paper presents a detail review of some prominent motivational theories, to the end <br/>that motivation be seen or regarded as a managerial (leadership) tool at the disposal <br/>of managers. We adopt a qualitative research design that allows us to perform a semi <br/>structured interview on a convenient sample in other to generate primary data. Our <br/>findings reveal that the cooperation is not at zero production. In areas where there is <br/>calm (security) the plantations are operational and in those areas of insecurity the <br/>plantations are not operational. This paper therefore recommends that, the <br/>management of CDC should not just take actions that state goals or outlines <br/>achievements while pursuing the other objectives, but it should envisage those <br/>actions or moves that will bring peace back in and around their plantations.<br/>Keyword; Anglophone Crisis, Cameroon, Crisis management, CDC, Employee <br/>Motivation, and Security.
