Özet notu | This study aims to discover the perceptions of teachers and students in Oman. The<br/>study used a correlational methodology, involving the participation of one hundred<br/>students and seventy teachers from different schools in Oman. This study<br/>investigates the views of participants on translanguaging, including its extensive<br/>utilization and the perceived influence on academic achievement. Data collection is<br/>performed by employing closed-ended questionnaires that include Likert scales.<br/>The findings indicate that a large proportion of persons have favourable attitudes<br/>toward translanguaging. This is supported by the fact that 82.9% of participants<br/>expressed their belief in its effectiveness as a teaching method, and 88% reported<br/>using this approach frequently. This study investigates the occurrence of codeswitching,<br/>the practice of alternating between Arabic and English languages, in<br/>English schools. The findings duration a wide selection of behaviours and attitudes.<br/>Participants hold diverse perspectives on the professional advantages of<br/>translanguaging, its support in education, and its influence on academic<br/>accomplishments. The study's findings indicate a generally positive attitude towards<br/>translanguaging in Oman, suggesting that this approach has the potential to be a<br/>useful educational tool. After completing the study, there are important<br/>consequences for educators and legislators, as well as prospective opportunities for<br/>future research. The study is recognized to have many constraints, emphasizing the<br/>necessity for more research on translanguaging in different educational locations. |
