| Özet notu | Traces of the first indoor bathing can be traced back to India, ancient Egypt, Ancient<br/>Aegean and Greek civilizations. In Mesopotamia, the Assyrian king III. M, which<br/>belongs to Salmanasar B.C. 3. the remains of the bath belonging to the century can be<br/>shown as an example of these early period structures. M in Anatolia BC. The remains<br/>of the baths belonging to the Late Hittite period belonging to the 1200s are also an<br/>example of this traditional practice. The bath structures, which are similar to today,<br/>were first built in B.C. 5. it is accepted that it was used in Athens during the century.<br/>Bath structures have taken an important place in both social and architectural fields<br/>since ancient times. In this study, the historical and characteristic development of the<br/>bath architecture is discussed.<br/>Turkish Bath architecture have started to be seen in the Turkish Republic of Northern<br/>Cyprus since the 16 th century. Baths generally consist of 3 main parts: dressing, warm<br/>room, cold room. In general, cross-shaped, four-sided and corner cell type planning<br/>has been used. During the study, baths were found in the cities of Nicosia, Famagusta,<br/>Kyrenia and Paphos.<br/>In order to better understand the bath typologies and structures throughout the island<br/>of Cyprus, the baths located here were examined. At the end of these examinations,<br/>Tandi's Bath, which was in an abandoned state, was examined.<br/>Tandi's Bath is a building that bears the traces of history found in the Walled area of<br/>Nicosia province and should be brought to life. It has been studied by analysis,<br/>historical research and observations.<br/>As a result of these researches, the architectural and structural features of Tandi's Bath,<br/>its location on a city scale, the reasons that caused its destruction and its current<br/>condition were examined, and suggestions for future conservation and restoration<br/>works were presented. |
