Özet notu | This investigation systematically explores the attributes of self-compacting Geopolymer<br/>concrete (SCGC) in both its fresh and hardened states, with a particular emphasis<br/>on the introduction of Nano-alumina (Al2O3). The study encompasses nine distinct<br/>SCGC formulations, each integrating differing proportions of Nano-alumina (NA) –<br/>ranging from 0% to 1.5%. SCGC was prepared using (100) % ground granulated blast<br/>furnace slag (GGBFS), (50) % Slag, (50) % Fly-ash(FA), "and 100% Fly-ash<br/>(FA)"with a constant alkaline activator to binder ratio of 0.5. A combination of sodium<br/>silicate solution (Na2SiO3) and sodium hydroxide solution (NaOH) with a predetermined<br/>ratio of (2.5) was selected as the alkaline activator for this study. A comprehensive<br/>set of tests, encompassing fresh state and hardened concrete evaluations such as<br/>slump, flow-ability, workability, flexural strength, impact strength, and compressive<br/>strength, were conducted to assess the mechanical properties of self-compacting Geopolymer<br/>concrete (SCGC). The acquired experimental outcomes underwent detailed<br/>analysis to elucidate the performance characteristics of SCGC. Furthermore, correlations<br/>between experimental figures were evaluated to explore the interlink between<br/>fresh and hardened phase properties of Geopolymer concretes. The experimental results<br/>show that the use of Nano-alumina had significant effects on the fresh state characteristics<br/>of concrete. Additionally, adding (1.5) % Nano-alumina to the mixture significantly<br/>improved the mechanical functioning of the SCGC samples. |
