'ABSTRACT Patient satisfaction is as important as other clinical health measures and is a primary means of measuring the effectiveness of health care delivery. Patient-centered outcomes have taken central stage as the primary means of measuring the effectiveness of health care delivery. To evaluate various sections of the general outpatient department of North Cyprus hospitals, the level of patient satisfaction with services among the patients who attended the general outpatient department (GOPD) of North Cyprus Hospitals (NCH). This is a cross -sectional descriptive study, patients who were present during the period of data collection over a period of a month. The research instrument for a data collection was a structured questionnaire for assessing the patient satisfaction using the PSS Scale. Convenience sampling done for selection of patients registered in GOPD of NCH. The data was analyzed on statistical software SPSS VS.20. The relationship between overall patient satisfaction with respect to age shows that p=0.91 which is statistically non-significant and gender also showed p=0.62. This study also showed that there was a significant difference between the record section and patient satisfaction p=0.001. It also showed a significance difference between the doctors section of the GOPD with regards to patient satisfaction p=0.000.The relationship between overall patient satisfaction with regards to the total time spent from arrival at the GOPD until the exit showed a statistically significant value p=0.000. The findings of the present study carried out to assess the level of patient satisfaction with the various sections of the general outpatient department (GOPD) in North Cyprus hospitals showed that a high prevalence 84.7% of respondents were satisfied with the record section of the GOPD and 79.5% of respondents were satisfied with the show of concern by the doctors, so hospital management should enforce that health practitioners be customer friendly through good behaviors as which has been found to be the most powerful predictor for client satisfaction, while the overall patient satisfaction rating for the three dimensions in North Cyprus Hospitals was found to be 72.5 %.
