'Computerized Accounting system is the system which provides the service to enter the transaction into the program once all the accounts information is updated automatically. In this thesis, a manual accounting system for Association of fuel Tanker which is a Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) is developed to Computerized. Association of fuel Tankers provides fuel transportation service for oil companies that request fuel transfer from fuel warehouse (depot) to fuel station all over Libya. The association is intermediary between the fuel providing company and drivers. In order to achieve high impact, the design of the Computerized Accounting System needs to be extensive, reliable and well documented .For that, Unified Modeling Language (UML) Diagrams and design patterns are used. The CAS is based on Tree – Tier Architecture and is implemented using Visual Basic and MYSQL as the database. This Thesis includes the application’s design, implementation and a note concerning the technologies involved. Also in the project the requirement of Computerized Accounting System, the cost benefits, financial and non-financial benefits is provided.
