Global carbon dioxide levels have risen so rapidly that they are now 50% higher than they have been for millions of years and they are rising faster than ever. Most of that rise has happened in the past 200 years, corresponding to the combustion of hydrocarbons and coal that is, the burning of fossil fuels: coal, oil, and natural gas, which release water and carbon dioxide as their main end products. Due to this issue policy makers and scientists looking for solution of future energy. However, there won’t be a single easy solution to our energy future, but there are trends that can give us some guidance on what to do next. There are two parts to this discussion. There is the supply and the demand: how much energy are we going to need and where will it come from. We also will need to know what energy sources are available, what the impacts are of their use, and how much they cost because, whatever we do next, it has to make sense economically or it’s not likely to happen. This thesis studied the potential utilization of a utility-scale wind-solar-diesel generator system in north Cyprus. Homer program software has used the simulation to calculate economic assessment analysis and also to make the feasibility of the system. There were four various system configurations, called hybrid solar-diesel generator system, hybrid wind-diesel generator system, hybrid solar-wind-diesel generator system, and stand-alone diesel generator system, will be analyzed and studied. The solar PV and wind turbine are classified into three various sizes. The study will be focused on the cost of energy, excess electricity generated, net present cost (or life cycle cost), operation cost, and initial capital cost. The simulation will be examined at various higher diesel price. The result illustrates that the hybrid solar-wind-diesel generator system is the cheapest system with all diesel price regarding the cost of energy and life cycle cost $22.3 billion. IN comparison, the stand-alone diesel generator system is the smallest initial capital cost $246 million and also the lowest excess electricity production with almost less than >1%.
