'ABSTRACT Para diplomacy has been a major concept been debated by scholars in the field of International relations. Para diplomacy is a tools use by federated unit in demanding for the full right of the resources been found in their territory from the central government. Para diplomacy has been a major tool used by the Regional government of Kurdistan in demanding for the full right of the resources in their territory from the central government of Iraq in order to improve the lives and security of their region. This thesis investigates the role of security as well as natural resources in strengthening the regional government of Kurdistan foreign relations. The major argument in this study is that security and likewise natural resources played a vital role in strengthening the foreign relations of the Kurdish government in Iraq and it is tested using qualitative approach through the use of academic books, journals and as well as newspapers which makes the study to be a well-structured one. The findings of the work show that the regional government of Kurdistan has been able to utilize the resources they have at their disposal in strengthening their foreign relations abroad as well as security and stability of the region KEYWORDS: Kurdish regional government, Natural resources, Para diplomacy, Security, Globalization.'
