ABSTRACT Considering the economy worldwide, the travel industry is quite possibly the most observable and developing areas. This area assumes a significant part in boosting the economy of a country. An increment in the travel industry stream can carry positive financial results to the countries, particularly in the area of the GDP growth and openings of employment. In developing countries, taking Nigeria for instance; the travel industry is a motor of financial turn of events and GDP development. This research work has its purpose of exploring the influence of sustainable tourism on economic growth in Nigeria. The time frame under investigation was from 2009q1 to 2019q4. More so, to check for the normality of the dependent variables, one sample KS test was used. Also, descriptive statistics and bivariate regression analysis were applied to carry out the investigation. The vital finding of this investigation shows that there is a positive and huge effect of the sustainable tourism on Nigerian's economic growth just as an area of business and there is additionally a long - run relationship among the variables under research. This investigation recommends that administrators should focus on the approaches with unique accentuation on the advancement of the travel industry because of its incredible potential all through the country, Nigeria. Suggestions were also made for future studies.
