Institute of Graduate Studies and Research Tourism and Hotel Management Department Özet: ABSTRACT This study is concerned with the investigation of the relationship that exist between job security and organizational concern coupled with the determination of the mediation power of organizational trust during the current COVID-19 pandemic ravaging the world. The research design adopted in this study was a cross-sectional. The mediation was tested by the use of the PROCESS Macro version 3.5. Using an electronic questionnaire – a Google form - data from 131 permanent employees who are working with about 22 hotels in North Cyprus were collected and used to test the hypotheses of the study. There were four main hypotheses in this study which were proposed to give answers to the research questions of this study. The result of the study confirmed a significant and positive influence of job security on organizational commitment. Also, it was discovered that job security had a significant and positive influence on organizational trust. The mediation analysis done in this study showed that the indirect effect of job security on organizational commitment via organizational trust is significant. The implications of this study sought to throw light on the future of the hospitality industry with which if more external support can be given to buffer the effect of the pandemic in North Cyprus, job security will rise, employees would have increasing trust in their organization and commitment towards their organization may likely be on the increase. The outcome of this study have significant strategic, statistical, and genuine suggestions for the hospitality stakeholders. The limitation of the study was put forward with strong recommendation for future studies.
