ABSTRACT
The aim of the study is to examine the influence of human resource activities such as compensation, planning and recruitment and performance evaluation on employee’s performance in Nigerian banking system using Gt bank of Nigeria as a case study. This is due to the fact that human resource management performs ideal evaluation of employee’s performance to perceive astounding and poor workers. The astounding workers are then compensated as a return for their commitment. To make a sensation of belongingness and cooperation among the workers. More so, human resource management is a finished and understandable method for managing the work and improvement of people. HR management can be considered to be a perspective in regards to how people should be made due, which is upheld by different speculations relating to the lead of people and affiliations. It is stressed over the responsibility it can make to working on organizational ampleness via individuals yet stressed over moral angle on how individuals ought to be related to according to various ranking (Armstrong & Taylor, 2014).
However, the main approach adopted is quantitative research method consisting of both survey and descriptive research design in other to attain the research objective using questionnaire as the instrument and the questionnaire was distributed electronically to 234 employees in Gt banks in Lagos state of Nigeria and only 182 questionnaires were returned which forms 77.7% of the aggregate. Also, the data collected were analyzed using statistical package for social sciences (SPSS). Consequences of this research work demonstrate huge positive influence that monetary prizes and compensation, performance evaluation as well as planning and recruitment play in impacting employee’s performance in GT bank of Nigeria. the research has several shortcomings which gave room for recommendations for further research.
