ABSTRACT
The aim of the study was to examine the impact of downsizing (DS) on the performance of Ccharles resources limited in terms of quality of output (QoO) and span of control (SOC). This is due to the fact that Institutional downsizing declares that institutional factors or elements impact the motivation of organizations to take on organizational downsizing as a typical technique. Institutional elements lead the internal motivation for downsizing, yet additionally impact external downsizing activities. The study examines two different hypotheses. The present study investigated the effect of downsizing (DS) on quality of output (QoO). Also, it examines the effect of downsizing (DS) on span of control (SOC)). However, the main approach adopted is a quantitative research method consisting of both survey, descriptive research design, correlation and regression analysis in other to attain the research objective using a questionnaire as the instrument and the questionnaire was distributed electronically to 185 employees both male and female who were working in Ccharles resources limited making 54.0% of the aggregate i.e. the 345-target population. Therefore, the result of this research work demonstrates huge positive influence of downsizing (DS) on quality of output (QoO), and another huge positive influence of downsizing (DS) on the span of control (SOC).
