Institute of Graduate Studies and Research Business Administration Department Özet: ABSTRACT The concept of development implies an increase in skills and capacity, self-discipline, responsibility, and material well-being. However, the concept of community development implies that it is a developmental process through which people live and improve their standards. COVID-19 is a global disease that affects every aspect of human life in society. The study seeks to explore the impact of good structure on good governance: a case of local government in south-east Nigeria. The study collected and analysed data from 266 senior and junior staff members of 14 local governments in southeast Nigeria using quantitative methods. It was revealed that good governance has a positive relationship with global challenges and affective community development. Also, the results show that there is a negative relationship between good governance, the global economy, and crisis management. It was discovered that leadership challenges, affective community development, and crisis management have positive impacts on good governance. Leadership challenges and effective community development are statistically significant. They have an influence on good governance. ABSTRACT
