ABSTRACT
The coronavirus pandemic has led to changes in the teaching-learning process in
institutions of higher learning and has had an impact on how teachers and students
interact. Universities were forced to conduct all of their activities with students online
as a result of the pandemic. The aim of this research is to examine students’ perceptions
regarding the ability of universities to provide knowledge in the context of exclusively
online learning and to examine their perceptions towards exclusively online learning.
A quantitative research design is used in this study. A total of 400 students participated
in the study. Non-probability sampling was employed for this study, and the research
was carried out at the Governmental University in Nsukka, Enugu, Nigeria. In this
research, the scale developed in 2020 by Coman et al. is used. The result of the study
showed that most students' perspectives and feelings regarding e-learning were
unfavorable, and most were unhappy with anything about e-learning. According to
their responses, students are generally unhappy because of how their instructors
present the material in their classes. Indeed, course content and resources should be
tailored to a specific quality level based on students' preferences and desires, such as
incorporating animations, photos, videos, and sounds. According to the study's
findings, students' online learning experiences during the pandemic were detrimental
to their academic achievements and performance. The result revealed that Zoom
application was found to be the most popular platform, which makes online learning
more effective, more flexible and less stressful.
