The essence of this research is to examine into Uganda's efforts toward sustainable tourism development and its influence on SDG accomplishment. The study adopted a qualitative method of analysis. According to the findings, implementing SDGs into tourist activities is becoming increasingly popular, especially in the areas of responsible consumption and production, decent employment and economic development, as well as green infrastructure and communities. SDG 12 (Responsible Consumption and Production) receives special consideration since it reflects stakeholders' commitment to sustainable and ethical manufacturing and supply chain activities. SDG 8 (Decent Work and Economic Growth) is likewise highlighted, with a focus on fair salaries and local work possibilities. SDG 11 (Sustainable Cities and Communities) is promoted in urban tourism by incorporating sustainable practices, reducing environmental impact, and encouraging community development. SDG 1 (No hunger) and SDG 13 (Climatic action) received a very high concern amongst the participants. The report emphasizes stakeholders' identification of particular SDGs and active actions to fulfill them. It also emphasizes environmentally friendly tourist activities such as certification programs, waste minimization, and the promotion of local goods. Extended tourist seasons, greater service quality, poverty reduction, and community empowerment are some of the socioeconomic benefits of tourism. Natural resource preservation, climate change mitigation, and conservation engagement are all part of environmental conservation and biodiversity activities. Policy formulation, cooperation, enforcement procedures, and governance structures all rely heavily on the government. Economic limits, seasonality, and long-term financial constraints have all been mentioned as problems. ABSTRACT
Sustainable tourism development is crucial for addressing current visitor and host community requirements without affecting the ability of future generations to fulfill their own needs. The SDGs propose a unified plan for attaining sustainable development by 2030. Tourism has been designated as a significant growth industry
and a method of accomplishing Uganda's development goals. The essence of this
research is to examine into Uganda's efforts toward sustainable tourism development and its influence on SDG accomplishment. The study adopted a qualitative method of analysis. According to the findings, implementing SDGs into tourist activities is becoming increasingly popular, especially in the areas of responsible consumption and production, decent employment and economic development, as well as green
infrastructure and communities. SDG 11 (Sustainable Cities and Communities) is promoted in urban
tourism by incorporating sustainable practices, reducing environmental impact, and encouraging community development. SDG 1 (No hunger) and SDG 13 (Climatic action) received a very high concern amongst the participants. The report emphasizes stakeholders' identification of particular SDGs and active actions to fulfill them. It also emphasizes environmentally friendly tourist activities such as certification programs,
waste minimization, and the promotion of local goods.
