HTA is essential for assessing the benefits and efficiency of health technology. However, little is known about how healthcare professionals' perceptions of HTA influence their job satisfaction, particularly in laboratory settings in Cameroon. Furthermore, the potential moderating role of work meaningfulness in this relationship remains unexplored. Using a quantitative research design, data will be collected from healthcare professionals working in selected laboratories in Cameroon. The study will examine the mediating mechanisms of perceived usefulness, attitudes, and intention in the relationship between healthcare professionals' perceptions of HTA and job satisfaction. Additionally, it will explore the moderating role of work meaningfulness, which reflects the perceived significance and purposefulness of work, on how job satisfaction and HTA are related in the eyes of medical professionals. The findings of this study will contribute to the existing literature by providing insights into the impact of healthcare professionals' perceptions of HTA on their job satisfaction in the laboratory context in Cameroon. The study will also uncover the mediating mechanisms of perceived usefulness, attitudes, and intention in this relationship. Furthermore, it will elucidate the moderating role of work meaningfulness, providing valuable knowledge about the conditions under which the effect of healthcare professionals' perceptions of HTA on job satisfaction may vary. The implications of this study extend to healthcare organizations and policymakers. The results will inform strategies to enhance job satisfaction among healthcare professionals in laboratories in Cameroon by improving their perceptions of HTA and work meaningfulness. By understanding the factors influencing job satisfaction, healthcare organizations can create supportive work environments, optimize the adoption of HTA practices, and eventually improve the standard of healthcare services. ABSTRACT
This study aims to investigate the impact of healthcare professionals' perceptions of
Health Technology Assessment (HTA) on job satisfaction, with a specific focus on the moderating role of work meaningfulness. The study will examine the mediating mechanisms of perceived usefulness, attitudes, and intention in the
relationship between healthcare professionals' perceptions of HTA and job satisfaction.
