Institute of Graduate Studies and Research Health Care Organizations Management Özet: Patient centered care is said to be accessible, collaborative and well-coordinated with an ultimate goal to improve individual health outcomes and drive patient satisfaction. This study therefore seeks to evaluate patient experience as a measure of the degree of patient-centeredness and a dimension of quality primary health care delivered in TRNC. By adopting a suitable research design, data will be randomly collected from over 300 international university students across several campuses on the island of TRNC. Data will be analyzed via the Statistical tool – IBM SPSS for comprehensive analysis, including descriptive statistics and a t-test to discern disparities between public and private hospitals in the TRNC. The findings of the study show that the perception of the quality of health care in the TRNC does not meet up to maximum expectation and disparities in patient experiences exists between healthcare settings. By computing the SERVQUAL components, this study provides unique insights on the quality of care provided by both public and commercial (private) hospitals. Notably, the findings reveal that private hospitals outperform public (government) hospitals in all SERVQUAL model attributes. Understanding patient opinions and increasing care quality are crucial as the healthcare sector evolves. This study not only supports the SERVQUAL model's applicability in TRNC's healthcare system, but it also provides a more nuanced understanding of patient experience discrepancies between public and private hospitals. Finally, these discoveries lay the groundwork for future initiatives aimed at improving patient-centered care and the overall quality of healthcare services in the TRNC
