Konu(lar): Tez notu: Thesis (MSc) - Cyprus International University. Institute of Graduate Studies and Research Engineering Management Özet: Numerous obstacles confront supply chain management, particularly in the pharmaceutical sector. These problems include the challenges of ensuring the authenticity and protection of medications, preventing the production and distribution of counterfeit drugs, and upholding streamlined and transparent procedures. Implementing innovative techniques is essential to ensuring patient safety and enhancing the smooth administration of life-saving drugs. This thesis explores the capacity of blockchain technology to transform the management of pharmaceutical supply chains. This study examines how the fundamental attributes of blockchain, such as its distributed ledger, immutability, and security, can improve transparency, traceability, and collaboration in the pharmaceutical supply chain. The objective is to enhance processes, minimize risks related to counterfeiting and fraud, and ultimately guarantee patient safety. By analyzing existing literature, case studies, and potentially conducting empirical research, this study aims to gain a thorough understanding of how blockchain might integrate into the pharmaceutical supply chain. The research will explore the fundamental elements of the proposed concept, encompassing smart contracts, distributed ledgers, and data management systems. This will clarify the functions of these pieces and showcase their ability to simplify processes, improve efficiency, and combat counterfeiting. This research provides significant data for stakeholders in the pharmaceutical supply chain, such as pharmaceutical corporations, distributors, regulators, and healthcare providers. This initiative intends to enhance the security, transparency, and efficiency of the pharmaceutical supply chain by investigating and describing a system based on blockchain technology.

Numerous obstacles confront supply chain management, particularly in the
pharmaceutical sector. These problems include the challenges of ensuring the
authenticity and protection of medications, preventing the production and
distribution of counterfeit drugs, and upholding streamlined and transparent
procedures. Implementing innovative techniques is essential to ensuring patient
safety and enhancing the smooth administration of life-saving drugs. This thesis
explores the capacity of blockchain technology to transform the management of
pharmaceutical supply chains. This study examines how the fundamental attributes
of blockchain, such as its distributed ledger, immutability, and security, can improve
transparency, traceability, and collaboration in the pharmaceutical supply chain. The
objective is to enhance processes, minimize risks related to counterfeiting and fraud,
and ultimately guarantee patient safety. By analyzing existing literature, case studies,
and potentially conducting empirical research, this study aims to gain a thorough
understanding of how blockchain might integrate into the pharmaceutical supply
chain. The research will explore the fundamental elements of the proposed concept,
encompassing smart contracts, distributed ledgers, and data management systems.
This will clarify the functions of these pieces and showcase their ability to simplify
processes, improve efficiency, and combat counterfeiting. This research provides
significant data for stakeholders in the pharmaceutical supply chain, such as
pharmaceutical corporations, distributors, regulators, and healthcare providers. This
initiative intends to enhance the security, transparency, and efficiency of the
pharmaceutical supply chain by investigating and describing a system based on
blockchain technology.
