Konu(lar): Tez notu: Thesis (MBA) - Cyprus International University. Institute of Graduate Studies and Research Business Administration Özet: This study explores the international student’s perception of Diversity Equity and Inclusion (DEI). By conducting out the field study of Universities in Northern Cyprus, this study is the first to examine this topic in the region, focusing on three major international universities. We gathered primary data through in-depth interviews with 30 international students from different backgrounds and countries, using open-ended questions designed to elicit detailed responses. Additionally, we also interviewed two professors to gain a broader overview and comprehensive perspective. The findings of our research reveal both the positive impacts and challenges associated with studying in a multicultural environment. The data disclosed that there is a strong appreciation among students for the opportunity to study in a multicultural setting. Many students value the diverse perspectives and cultural exchanges that considerably enhance their educational experience and personal growth. However, language barriers, cultural misunderstandings, and difficulties in social integration are some of the challenges encountered in the multicultural environment. Indeed, these challenges often isolate students and hinder their ability to fully engage with their peers and impact their academic success. This study contributes to the growing literature body about Diversity Equity and Inclusion’ perceptions among international students in Northern Cyprus. Moreover, the findings provide practical recommendations for universities to improve academic journey and experiences of international students, creating a more inclusive and supportive environment for all students.
