'Abstract The objective of this research is to evaluate the effect of the Chinese investor's presence in the mining sector and how their involvement has affected the Zimbabwean economy most importantly on employment as well as employee treatment. The presence of Chinese investors in Zimbabwe's mining sector has been growing due to their "Politics free" initiative which sees no boundaries in politically oppressed African countries like Zimbabwe. Basically this research evaluates one of the main reasons why the Chinese investors have been deeply active in the African nation of Zimbabwe for the past years. Qualitative data collection tools were adopted for this research and the methodology involved gathering relevant data through interviewing the domestic business owners, politicians, analysts as well as university level Zimbabwean students. However here are still a lot of significant undesirable issues which need to be eradicated as soon as possible, such as lack of transparency, corruption, unfair treatment of domestic businesses and workers as well as the pollution of the environment.
