'ABSTRACT There have been series of integration efforts in Africa in the past four decades. Learning from the past disappointments of regional integration endeavors in Africa in the late 1960s and 1970s, the West African states thought of another method towards coordinating the territory, through individuals focus and private division driven integration. The regional integration undertakings and projects remain the top need among the ECOWAS member states as the way to accomplish maintainable political and monetary improvement in the region. The real difficulties of ECOWAS integration traverse issues are political security, arrangement coordination and harmonization, foundation advancement and intra-regional exchange development, conventions and approach usage, work versatility. The motivation behind the study was to evaluate the advancement of regional integration conventions and arrangements execution at the universal level of the ECOWAS and member states. The study will evaluate the degree of regional participation and integration accomplishment since the foundation of ECOWAS, till date, in three expansive regions: Political soundness; Security and Basic business sector. The study will utilize exploratory contextual analysis approach (neofunctionalism) in explaining the degree and accomplishment of ECOWAS.
