N2  - 'ABSTRACT  The importance of application of risk management in construction projects cannot be over emphasized. This however bring the attention of different researchers to leverage it in order to eliminate the negative effect of risk in the construction projects. This study explores risk management articles that are related to construction project. A descriptive literature review approach was carried out which figured out as well as documented various techniques applied by different researchers between 2017- 2018. The study also documented the development on the application of risk management in construction projects. One hundred and fifty one (151) papers were identified during the search on the academic database (google scholar) at of which 146 papers were finally analysed. It was found that risk management is widely applied and accepted in the area of construction industries and project. In addition, more articles were published in 2018 than 2017 which shows a clear development and interest on this topic.
