ABSTRACT The main purpose of the research is to identify factors contributing to the health service improvement and patient satisfaction in Banadir and Digfer hospitals. Additionally this research determines association between patient satisfaction and health service improvement among hospitals. Improving patient's satisfaction, first it is essential improving health service suppliers, cleanness of environment and hospital staff workers. Therefore identifying health service quality and which factor contributes patient satisfaction is very essential to Somali healthcare. At the same time improving hospital service providers in Somalia, it helps population of Somalia to get healthcare service with high quality. Furthermore, outcome of this research will be beneficial hospital supervisors, healthcare administrations, physicians, nurses and other health workers in Somalia and rest of the world to improve quality health service within public and private hospitals. Methodology; Quantitative method was chosen by the research Therefore, this study was used cross-sectional study design to collect information about research by selected patients among Banadir and Digfer hospitals. The research population of the study was whole patients among Banadir and Digfer hospitals within Mogadishu. The study was selected 164 patient based on the sample size in order to selected suitable sample size. Additionally 96 of respondents' patients were from Banadir hospital while 68 respondents were Digfer hospital respectively. This study was collected good structural questionnaire. Commonly, questions contained 40 simple direct questions related to the study. Health service improvement and satisfaction of patient is the key one need for the population of Somalia. In order to enhance healthcare services and satisfaction of patient during this research some factors were identified such as, responsiveness, waiting time, tangibility, empathy, communication, accessibility and affordability. If the health service was improved patients become satisfied. Therefore, patient satisfaction depends how the hospital provided health services with quality and skills staff working hospitals.
