ABSTRACT
Globally, online learning has played a significant role in education over the years especially during COVID 19 pandemic. Various educational institutions have shifted from the face-to-face method of teaching to online teaching with the outbreak and health threat of the Covid 19 pandemic, which has helped to continue education through information technology and the internet, ensure content delivery, student, and teacher communication, and prevent an academic year loss. The purpose of the study is to assess the impact of online education on the academic performance of students during the COVID 19 pandemic. Studies have been reviewed which discussed the impact of E-learning on learners’ performance. The result of the study revealed that despite the depression and lack of training in information technology, online learning has great approval among students and significantly improves their academic performance. their findings or discussions and recommendation emphasized the result that online education improves student academic performance amid a pandemic.
