The internet of things has been a significant enabler of benefits in any pandemic mainly to its users. However, despite the advantages the internet of things offers, there has been a low turnout in the adoption of IoT technology globally. It has affected many organizations and a few of these organizations that are unable to surpass the low backs encountered during the pandemic collapsed. The researcher adopted a quantitative approach to analyze factors influencing the use of IoT wristbands during the COVID-19 pandemic. An online survey was conducted to obtain the data. Regression analysis and Structural equation modeling (SEM) techniques were done using SmartPLS4 version 4.0.8.3 to obtain the results in analyzing the factors influencing the use of IoT wristbands during the pandemic. The results showed that PC and SC positively influenced IU towards IoT usage; however, PC did not have a direct significance to IU. The results also showed that TR positively influenced the continued intention to use (IU) IoT services. The study reveals that one of the top benefits of using IoT is that it strictly maintains social distancing. It was seen that TR as a mediator positively influenced PC and SC towards IU. The explanatory and predictive power of analyzing the factors influencing the use of IoT wristbands during the COVID-19 pandemic in the Turkish republic of North Cyprus accounted for 45%. This study has contributed to the body of knowledge on IoT adoption that can be used by policymakers and government officials.
