Geçmişten bugüne baktığımızda kadının toplumdaki önemi tam anlamı ile 
anlaşılamamaktadır. Bunun en önemli sebebi ataerkil sistemle iç içe hayatını sürdüren 
bazı çevrelerdir. Bu tarz yetişen erkeklerin aile yaşamındaki baskın tutumu bu duruma 
zemin hazırlamaktadır. Çeşitli kuruluşlar bu konu ile ilgili geniş çapta çalışmalar 
sürdürmektedirler. Feminizm, kadınların hakları ve kadın erkek eşitliğini savunan 
düşünce sistemidir. Feminist düşünürler tüm bu olgulardan söz ederken, kadının varoluşu 
konusunun ayrıntılı irdelenmediği görülür.
Simone de Beauvoir öncülüğünde kadının varoluşu konusu yeni bir kimlik kazanmıştır. 
Beauvoir’ın görüşleri ve varoluşçu filozofların fikirleri doğrultusunda Varoluşçu 
Feminizm kavramı ortaya çıkmıştır. Tüm feminist kuramların ilgilendiği konular farklılık 
gösterir. Araştırma alanlarının birinci basamağı kadının varoluşunu esas alan Varoluşçu 
Feminist kuram olmalıdır. Varoluşçu Feminist kuram, kadınların geçmişten bugüne 
varoluş mücadelesini araştırır. Her alanda olduğu gibi edebiyatta yer alan eserlerde 
yazarlar, kadınların varoluşuna değinmişlerdir. Çeşitli roman ve öykülere baktığımızda 
kadın ve kadın sorunlarının ön planda yer aldığını görürüz. Jale Sancağın eserlerinin de 
bu açıdan incelenmesi toplumda olumlu yönde farkındalık sağlayacaktır. Jale Sancak, 
kadının mücadelesini ve toplumda var olma çabasını öykü ve romanlarında dile getirir. 
Ataerkil sistemin ve erkek egemen toplumun yaratmış olduğu olumsuz yargılara rağmen,
ayakları yere sağlam basan kadın profilleri çizmesi yazarı özgün kılan yanıdır. 
Bu çalışma kapsamında kadınların varoluş yolculuğu feminizm bağlamında, ataerki ve 
evlilik, özgürlük, kadına yönelik şiddet, yalnızlık, fedakârlık, yabancılaşma, umut, ihanet 
gibi kavramlar üzerinden incelenmiştir.

When we look from the past to the present, the importance of women in society cannot 
be fully understood. The most important reason for this is some circles that continue their 
lives intertwined with the patriarchal system. The dominant attitude of men who grow up 
in this style in family life prepares the ground for this situation. Various organizations 
carry out extensive studies on this issue. Feminism is a system of thought that advocates 
women's rights and equality between men and women. While feminist thinkers talk about 
all these phenomena, it is seen that the existence of women is not discussed in detail.
Under the leadership of Simone de Beauvoir, the subject of the existence of women 
gained a new identity. In line with the views of Beauvoir and the ideas of existentialist 
philosophers, the concept of Existential Feminism has emerged. The issues that all 
feminist theories deal with differ. The first step of research areas should be Existential 
Feminism, which is based on the existence of women. Existential Feminist theory 
explores women's struggle for existence from past to present. As in every field, in the 
works in the field of literature, the authors mentioned the existence of women. When we 
look at various novels and stories, we see that women and women's issues are at the 
forefront.
Examining the works of Jale Sancak from this point of view will create a positive 
awareness in the society. Jale Sancak expresses the struggle of women and her struggle 
to exist in society in her stories and novels. The fact that she draws women's profiles that 
are firmly on the ground compared to the negative rules created by the patriarchal system 
and the male-dominated society is what makes her unique. Within the content of this 
study, the existential journey of women was examined in the context of feminism through 
concepts such as patriarchy and marriage freedom, violence against women, loneliness, 
sacrifice, alienation, hope, betrayal.
