In the current work, an absorption heat transformer cycle operating with the water/lithium bromide mixture connected to a water desalination unit is studied. For the purpose of performance analysis and parametric study, the cycle is modeled in the Engineering Equation Solver (EES) software. Then, a parametric analysis is carried out on the system to study the effect of variation of some important design parameters on the considered system. Results of the parametric study show that the COP of the cycle highly depends on the outlet temperature of the absorber heat exchanger. Also, the COP of the cycle decreases by increasing temperature of the condenser. Furthermore, the cycle's COP is moderately increasing as the source temperature increases too. This is also found that the highest exergy destruction happens in the absorber. The amount of produced fresh water via desalination unit at the optimized condition is estimated as 0.1783 kg/s.
