The study's goals were to identify the agronomic challenges that rice farmers in the Jowhar district face. To identify Irrigation problems challenging rice production in Jowhar district, to identify mechanization constrains encountering rice production in Jowhar district. To identify pest and disease management problems challenges during production and rice storage in Jowhar district. This study employs a questionnaire survey conducted in Jowhar. The study follows descriptive research. Twenty-nine questions derived from the study's four objectives were put to the survey participants to rate. The sample size was 123 respondents. Purposive sampling, a non-probability technique was used to choose research participants from the sample in the experiment. SPSS was used for the analysis of the study's data. To present the study results, descriptive analysis was performed, followed by frequency tables and charts. The survey respondents were asked to rate twenty-nine questions. according to agronomic challenges, the majority of the respondents 48.8% agree that the decreasing production of rice can be effectively caused by uncontrolled weed competition, 28.5% of the respondents strongly agree, 12.2% of the respondents neutral, whereas 8.1% of them disagree while 2.4% 0f the respondent strongly disagree. according to the irrigation problem, the majority of the respondents 42.3%% agree that poor irrigation quality can cause declining rice production like salinity, 38.2% of the respondents strongly agree, 10.6% of the respondent neutral, while 7.3% of them disagree, and 1.6% of the respondents strongly disagree. According to the mechanization constrains, the majority of the respondents 44.7% agree that lack of machinery tools can affect rice production, 41.5% of the respondents strongly agree, 4.9% of them neutral, and 5.7% of the respondents disagree while 3.3% strongly disagree. According to the pest and disease management problems; the majority of the respondents were asked the conscious control method applied for diseases and pest control in production period. Therefore 65.0% of the respondent were said yes, 8.9% of the respondent were neutral, and 26.0% of the respondent were said no; the majority of the respondents were asked the conscious control method applied for diseases and pest control in storage period. Therefore 57.7% of the respondent were said yes, 6.5% of the respondents were neutral and 35.8% of the respondent were said no; Key Terms: Diseases, Irrigation, Mechanization, Pests, Rice, Seed quality ER -
