ABSTRACT Politically over the past three decades, successive governments in Nigeria and Uganda have implemented policies designed to make the citizens socio-politically happy. Nevertheless, despite these efforts, the issue of poverty persists since the suggested solutions have not been able to identify its underlying roots. Therefore, the goal of this essay is to close that strategic intellectual gap. The article will include a descriptive structure and a comprehensive literature review. Among other things, the paper has the following goals: to investigate both the definition of poverty and the marketing notion. discover a long-term solution to the problem of poverty, to develop policy proposals that the government, non-governmental organizations, and other stakeholders may employ to help address the issue of poverty affecting Nigerians and all of black Africa. The first of the UN Sustainable Development Goals, which is projected to direct the post-2015 development agenda, is to eradicate extreme poverty for all people everywhere by 2030, as measured by individuals subsisting on $1.25 per day. The world's poorest yet fastest-growing region, Nigeria and Uganda, are examined in this article along with the viability of the worldwide objective of ending poverty. It concludes that although extreme poverty in SSA can be brought to low levels by 2030, it will not be eliminated under credible assumptions. The goal of national and regional policy should be to boost growth while also enhancing its inclusivity and "green" aspects. By promoting policy coordination and coherence, international organizations, particularly informal ones like the G20, can play a crucial role in this quest. Additionally, African nations will want more room to express their viewpoints in international economic discussions of matters affecting the continent's sustainable development.
