ABSTRACT A standard higher educational institution comprises multiple campuses, different faculties, and schools with many employees and students. This large system results in communication difficulties like the misinterpretation of messages by the receiver, being unable to reach the receiver in time, unavailability of communication equipment such as strong Wi-Fi in the university environment, cultural differences, and so on. The purpose of this research is to provide solutions to these communication problems and make the use of digital media more effective in communication. The sole purpose of any academic framework is to explore the in-depth enlightenment and proper understanding of different concepts of topics that affect our lives and the society in which we reside. Given this, this thesis analyses the performance of the application of this digital media communication process, examining the barriers in both the communication process of the administrators and the use of this digital media process of communication. Educational administrators are one of the most important personalities in an educational institution, as such, highlighting their ideas on the application of these communication processes will improve the communication system in universities. To achieve the purpose of this study, qualitative research was conducted with three university administrators in TRNC. The method used in analysing the data is the thematic content analysis. The process of this thematic approach includes the analysis of the data, identification of themes that are embedded in the data collected, and the collating of examples of those themes from the sentences. Feedback was gathered from these university administrators who are the respondents. This feedback was then coded and finally reported in a more organized form. Through the in-depth and comprehensive analysis of the feedback from the university administrators, this research deducted intelligent practical strategies and recommendations to eradicate these communication difficulties in universities. iii Some of these strategies include improvement of the technological strength of the. Universities, creating awareness of the need to effectively make use of digital media process, the provision of digital media equipment in the university, and organising conferences and programs to enlighten people on the advanced use of digital media communication processes.
