It is structured to analyze how Fulani herdsmen violence is represented in Nigerian media, examine the extent to which the media give priority to the Fulani herdsmen-farmers crisis, and highlight the choices of language or words used for the representations of the Fulani herdsmen acts in Nigeria. This study adopted both quantitative and qualitative content analysis methods, and the data of the study comprised the editorials published online from three selected Nigerian newspapers namely, Vanguard, the Punch, and Nigeria Tribune. The findings indicated that during the period under investigation, these three newspapers published 771 online editorials and only 38 constituting 4.92% of these editorials addressed issues related to Fulani herdsmen-farmers crisis reports, and only 6 constituting 0.77% of these editorials addressed issues related to farmers’ reprisal attacks on Fulani herdsmen. The results also showed that the killer-oriented frame was more prevalent in the editorials of selected newspapers under study. This study validated the agenda-setting theories as it has been said to direct attention to certain issues, to make them inevitable for public discussion.
