Institute of Graduate Studies and Research Health Care Organisations Management N2 - Purpose: The purpose of this research is to find out how incentives impact employee performance. as well as the most preferred type incentive by healthcare workers in Ughelli general hospital. Study review: Reviewing the different finding of incentive, types of incentives as well as the sub types of incentives and the performance of healthcare workers. The essence of this paper is to examine and identify an effective solution to enhance the performance of healthcare workers. Material and method: Questionnaire were distributed to 150 participants from the calculated population size, but only 120 could returned the questionnaire and 116 completed the survey. 28 items were created to obtain information from participants. Categorical and Likert scale is mostly considered for the measurement. Findings and discussion: The data was analyzed using descriptive statistics, reliability of the data was carried out and ANOVA analysis. Conclusion and recommendation: According to the findings, it is estimated there are more male that completed the survey than female and there is a strong support incentive impacting and improving performance of healthcare workers. The financial incentive is more preferable. It is recommended that healthcare managers/ organizations are advice to implement incentives system to increase the job performance and services they render ER -
