a focus on Gwale Local Government Area in Kano State, Nigeria, this study examines the effects of resource availability and teaching and learning process in secondary schools in Nigeria. This study tries to determine how the sufficiency or lack of resources effects teaching and learning process, given the critical role that educators play when evaluating the instructional results of their pupils. The significance of this study is to bring an insight into the resources availability on teaching and learning process in secondary schools in Gwale Local Government area of Kano State, Nigeria, for effective and proper implementation of policies and planning and provide data for research institutions and government agencies. Information/data generated from this study will assist the Government to formulate policies that will help to improve on educational resources availability for teacher performance in secondary schools in Gwale Local Government. It is also hoped that the study will identify gaps in the existing knowledge in this area. In-depth interview was conducted using a mixed-methods approach with the relevant stakeholders like educational ministries, teachers and agencies to interact with the issues of educational resources availability. Questions were asked orally and on an unstructured format. Also a structured interview was carried out to capture responses from respondents on the effect of resources availability on teaching and learning process in secondary Schools in Gwale Local Government Area of Kano State Nigeria. The responses for the selected teachers indicated the importance of having adequate teaching materials which will help in improving the teaching and learning process of students
