The findings of this study can be utilized to recommend improvements to the rating system. Keywords: Green, Sustainable Construction, LEED, Energy Modeling

ABSTRACT
The ever-increasing demand for building construction has an impact on nature and the
environment, but the cause and effect are unknown owing to a lack of regulations and
operating principles. Some criteria are in place that aims to make any construction
green if project developers engage in the voluntarily rating process. One of the phases
in the process involves selecting best practices based on certain recommendations
offered by green raters, with unclear instructions on how to achieve this pick. When
the criteria are fulfilled, they are granted a score in many areas, the most important of
which is Energy and Environment (EA). This study analyses existing infrastructures
and compares their EA ratings to their corresponding energy consumption.
This research project, in general, investigates sustainable ways to green material and
technology adaption and establishes applied criteria. Energy metering is accomplished
by calculating thermal load in a simulated model as well as estimating outcomes from
case studies. The major focus is on utilizing a reference case study of an Eco-House
created while addressing sustainability through green construction ideas as a reference
case study. The research is being conducted in Oman, where case studies on current
green efforts in Oman are being conducted under the leadership of the LEED
organization. We also emphasize quantitative data acquired from the findings of green
design modeling and simulation, as well as a case study of an existent building
construction strategy, such as an Eco-House, towards accomplishing environmentally
friendly aims as evaluated by the Green Building Rating Body.
The fact that 78.6% of energy savings were awarded LEED ratings of 78.3% implies
that energy savings are exactly proportionate to the assigned scores. The major
findings reveal that the current LEED scores for several case studies in the EA category
are incompatible with the energy savings of the particular project. The findings of this
study can be utilized to recommend improvements to the rating system.
