520 _aABSTRACT Training is way of improving certain experience and competencies relevant to particular practical competencies in oneself or others. Training has clear objectives to enhance one's skill, efficiency, productivity and performance. In addition, training is considered to be the bloodstream of any organization because, in order for an organization to achieve its mission and targets, a great deal of attention needs to be paid to its workforce. Company needs to invest in training of workers to boost both their efficiency and that of the company. Training is often seen as a valuable way of dealing with technological innovation-promoted changes; market competitiveness, organizational structuring and, most significantly, it plays a key role in enhancing employee efficiency. The thesis analyzes the relationship regarding training and the efficiency of workers in insurance companies in the south west of Nigeria. This study uses a quantitative approach using (SPSS) Statistical Package for Social Science, Version 20. The findings are based on the information obtained from 175 respondents to the questionnaire. The results show that training has multiple benefits and advantages that serve as the driving force towards positively impacting employees' performance as well as organizational performance.
