520 _aABSTRACT The indoor physical environment is considered a major determinant of employee’s productivity. Therefore, Organizations today can significantly improve their outcomes if they invest in improving the workplace environment. The aim of this thesis is to investigate the perceived effect of the workplace indoor features on employee’s productivity in the Jordanian banking sector. The indoor physical environment which was examined in the study is composed of: Indoor air quality and ventilation, thermal comfort, lighting and daylighting, noise and acoustics, office layout, biophilia and views, indoor aesthetics, and location and amenities. Questionnaires were used to collect self-reported primary data from the employees of Arab banks all over Jordan which in that were at that period under the imposed quarantine by the pandemic. Up to 400 surveys were distributed from which 322 were analyzed using SPSS software and the AMOS, Factor analysis, SEM analysis, descriptive statistics, linear regression, and ANOVA tests were conducted on the data. The main finding of this study is that the indoor environment features have a significant impact on the employees' self-assessed productivity. The outcome implies that whenever the workplace physical environment is perceived positively the employees tend to perform better. In-depth discussion of results along with limitations and implications of the study are included. Keywords: Workplace, Productivity, Indoor Physical Environment, Jordan.
