It utilizes a qualitative methodological design. Its findings indicate that, despite the efforts and resources that have been diverted towards this cause, it has not yet been totally able to tackle the menace of women's empowerment and political participation in both countries respectively. It concludes that, despite the positive outcomes, more efforts are essential in providing women with an effective rehabilitation process in the two countries.
