520			_aÖZET Amaç: Şans oyunları günümüzde her geçen gün yaygınlığının arttığı ve artık internet üzerinden bile rahatça ulaşılabilen para karşılığı oynanabilen, sonucunun tamamen şansa dayalı olduğu oyunlardır. Bu çalışmanın temel amacı da şans oyunu oynayan bireylerin utanç suçluluk duyguları, dürtüsellik ve benlik saygısını incelemektir. Yöntem: Yapılan araştırmaya 285 şans oyunu oynayan kişiler katılmıştır. Çalışmada Sürekli South Oaks Kumar Tarama Testi, Utanç ve Suçluluk Ölçeği, Barrat Dürtüsellik Ölçeği Kısa Formu ve Rosenberg Benlik Saygısı Ölçeği ile veri toplanmıştır. Veri toplama sonucunda çıkan sonuçlar SPSS 21 paket programı ile analiz edilmiştir. Bulgular: Yapılan analizler sonucunda cinsiyet, medeni durum, eğitim durumu ve diğer değişkenlerle kullanılan ölçüm araçları açısından anlamlı farklılıklar bulunmuştur. Katılımcıların kumar oynama ile utanç ve gurur düzeyleri, dürtüsellik, yaş, gelir düzeyi ve benlik saygısı arasında anlamlı ilişki olduğu saptanmıştır. Ayrıca şans oyunu oynayan katılımcıların motor dürtüsellik düzeyi, utanç ve suçluluk duyguları ve yaş düzeylerinin kumar oynama düzeyini yordadığı bulunmuştur. Sonuç: Yapılan aracılık analizi sonucunda, suçluluğun dürtüsellik ve kumar oynama arasındaki ilişkide aracılık rolü üstlendiğine ulaşılmıştır. Bu çalışmada dürtüsellik ve kumar oynamanın pozitif ilişkisinde, suçluluk düzeyinin de etkili ve önemli bir değişken olduğu anlaşılmıştır. Elde edilen sonuçlar ilişkili alanyazın kapsamında tartışılmış ve gelecek çalışmalara ve klinsyenlere öneriler sunulmuştur. 520			_aABSTRACT Purpose: Games of chance are games whose prevalence is increasing day by day and can be played for money, which can be easily accessed even over the internet, and the result of the games is entirely based on luck. The primary purpose of this study was to examine the feelings of shame guilt, impulsivity, and self-esteem of participants who played the game of chance. Method: 285 people who played games of chance participated in the research. The South Oaks Gambling Screen, the Trait Shame and Guilt Scale, the Short Form of the Barratt Impulsiveness Scale, and the Rosenberg Self Esteem Scale were used to collect data. The results obtained after data collection were analyzed with the SPSS 21 package program. Results: As a result of the analysis, significant differences were found in gender, marital status, educational status, and other variables with measurement tools scores. It was determined that there was a significant relationship between gambling and shame and pride levels, impulsivity, age, income level, and selfesteem of the participants. In addition, it was found that the level of motor impulsivity, feelings of shame and guilt, and age of the participants who played the game of chance predicted the level of gambling. Conclusion: As a result of the mediation analysis, it was found that guilt plays a mediating role in the relationship between impulsivity and gambling. In this study, it was understood that the level of guilt was an effective and important variable in the positive relationship between impulsivity and gambling. The results obtained were discussed in the context of the relevant literature and suggestions were presented to future studies and clinicians.
