520 _aABSTRACT Information and communication technology (ICT) have advanced rapidly in the twentyfirst century. Various industries, such as sports, education, and business, have had unrestricted access to vital information. ICTs are digital communication technologies that allow people to access, retain, transfer, and alter data. ICTs, which are etched as a critical instrument for driving socioeconomic development, have the ability to empower individuals while also boosting the economy and the expansion of industries and businesses. Worldwide, ICT usage has transformed the way enterprises are conducted, culminating in the birth of the “digital small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs). It is already well acknowledged that ICT delivers several benefits to both large corporations SMEs. To understand the adoption and use of ICT Innovations in small medium Argobased Enterprise. The aim of this study was to examine the impact of SMEs characteristic, EE, PE and PIC on behavioural intention to adopt ICT. Further to examine the impact of FC and behavioural intention to adopt ICT on the utilization of ICT. The study utilized a quantitative approach. Primary data via the use of online questionnaire was used to obtain data from respondent. A random sampling technique was utilized and a total of 345 employees participated in the study. Research was carried out in Lagos, 10 agro-based SMEs were chosen, with two representatives from each administrative area. The findings showed that Performance expectancy, effort expectancy, perceived implementation cost and SMEs organization have a significant impact on behavioural intention to adopt ICT, however, SMEs employee’s readiness to adopt ICT had no significant impact on behavioural intention to adopt ICT. Facilitating condition and behavioural intention to adopt ICT both had a significant influence on the utilization of ICT by Agro based SMEs. Globalization and digitization have resulted in a dramatic shift in company practices and competitive dynamics worldwide, the use of ICT has aided in this process of transition. In adoption of ICT by SMEs, it is important for them to consider these factors. This can help improve the productivity of the SME.
