520 _aABSTRACT This study aims to improve employee performance and satisfaction with their jobs in Dangote's group, Lagos, Nigeria, by examining how the different traits of the employees shape their satisfaction and performance. This study used a convenient sample study strategy were the subjects were selected without bias by picking out the available subjects for data collection as recommended by Endo et al. (2016). That is, the samples are selected with the same probability. Only employees at Dangote Group were allowed to provide data. The data collection process lasted all the way through December 2021. Due to the vast number of employees at Dangote's groups in Lagos, Nigeria, the Google form was the ideal medium for data collection, especially dealing with convenient sampling strategy. The data collected is analyzed with the help of SPSS (a statistical package for social sciences). The main findings of the study reveals that openness and extraversion have significant impacts on job satisfaction. On the other hand, neuroticism and agreeableness have significant impacts on employee performance. Keywords: Agreeableness, Conscientiousness, Employee performance, Extraversion, Job satisfaction, Neuroticism, Openness, Personality traits.
