520 _aABSTRACT The central themes of this paper are Covid-19 pandemic crisis, crisis management and organisational communication. The underlying drive of this research is to find the relationship between the themes, the main objective is to study the impact of corona virus to financial industry and how organisations will cope using crisis management and the role of organisational communication in crisis management. Drawing respondents from thirty leading financial institutions in Zimbabwe, the study uses a self-administered interview schedule and adopts the qualitative research design. Respondents were prompted to provide lengthy explanations of how their knowledge of crisis management has aided them in addressing pandemic crises like Covid-19. This has always been a crucial component of crisis management preparation. In a crisis where physical distance is essential to the crisis ending, its significance has multiplied tenfold. The study conclude that communication was crucial, particularly during the initial detachment of Covid-19. In addition the businesses needed to put their employees' health and welfare first challenges identified range from managing the legal tender and interchange ability to methodizing working routine, dropping profits and staff well-being. There are also pressures on financial institutions notably, the rise of fintech within the sector to serve customer needs. Even though the pandemic has a terrible negative impact.
