520 _aABSTRACT Job burnout remains a persistent problem that continues to threaten the wellbeing and efficiency of organization employees. Considering the chaotic and demanding environment of the banking sector, this study therefore aims to evaluate the effect of Maslach’s dimensions; depersonalization, depersonalization and emotional exhaustion on job satisfaction in the Nigerian banking sector. Three hundred and eighty five (385) responses were collected from Nigerian bank employees who were selected through snowball sampling technique. Correlation, linear regression analysis and hypothesis testing was used to test the relationship between depersonalization, personal accomplishment, emotional exhaustion and job satisfaction. The study found a negative correlation between the emotional exhaustion and depersonalization with Job satisfaction. Personal accomplishment on the other hand positively correlates with job satisfaction. Therefore, bank human resource managers must endeavor to boost employees personal accomplishment through a reward and benefit model while ensuring that the emotional exhaustion and depersonalization of the employees are kept at a minimal in order to ensure a happy work environment. Keywords: Burnout, Depersonalization, Emotional Exhaustion, Job Satisfaction, Personal Accomplishment.
