520 _aABSTRACT In 1945 the world had seen the destruction which was caused by the nuclear weapons. After seeing its destruction efforts were made to prevent nuclear proliferation for this purpose NSG (Nuclear Suppliers Group) was formed. NSG which was formed in response to India’s so called peaceful nuclear explosion. This test showed the world that peaceful nuclear technologies can easily be converted into weaponry use. States are rational actors. The relationship between countries depends solely upon their national interest, which is a variable quantity which shifted whenever strategic vision of the state altered. The shift between Indo U.S. relationship shows American keenness to count India as a key partner in its strategic vision for the region. India which was not a member of NSG but enjoying the perks of waiver which was given to them by U.S. shows the world how U.S. influences these regimes for its own self-interest. This paper will discuss the consequences of this deal for Pakistan and also for China. The study also includes a brief introduction of NSG and questions which will be raised on the credibility of NSG if India becomes the member. Furthermore, this paper will provide substantive evidence to support the argument and clarifies the reasons with critical analysis. In conclusion, I wrapped up the study with concluding remarks to elaborate the whole study in simple words. Keywords: Nuclear Suppliers Group (NSG), Nuclear Weapons, Indo-US Nuclear Deal, Nuclear Technology
